DAY 1 • LIMA

Upon arrival in Lima, you will be received and assisted with your transfer to the hotel. At the scheduled time, we will begin a tour of Lima's Historic Center, where we will have the opportunity to admire the architectural treasures that make up this ancient city, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our first stop will be the Convent of Santo Domingo, a building dating back to the founding of Lima. It is here that the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, the oldest university in the Americas, was founded. Inside the convent, we will find the choir with the oldest wooden seating in the country, as well as a library that houses 25,000 books, some of which were printed in the 15th century, making them historically invaluable. Additionally, the remains of Saint Martin de Porres, Saint John Masías, and Saint Rose of Lima rest inside.

We will continue our tour by crossing the Plaza Mayor, where we will admire the Government Palace and the City Hall, before finally arriving at the Cathedral of Lima, an architectural gem that will transport us to the colonial era, with artworks that bring us closer to the city's history. Afterward, we will head to the Larco Museum, a place that will offer us an in-depth view of the cultures that inhabited ancient Peru. In this museum, we will be amazed by its impressive collection of gold pieces, textiles, and erotic ceramics that reflect the worldview of ancient Peruvian civilizations.
