At the scheduled time, we will head to Monserrate Hill, where we will ascend by funicular or cable car to the top of the mountain, offering a panoramic view of the city. We will then continue to the Gold Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of pre-Hispanic goldwork. This tour will conclude with a scenic walking tour of the Historic Center, where you will visit the main architectural, historical, and cultural landmarks of Bogotá, such as the Colón Theatre, San Carlos Palace, Bolívar Square, and the Primatial Cathedral of Colombia.   • The Gold Museum is closed on Mondays and will be replaced by the Botero Museum.
  • On Sundays and holidays, the number of local visitors increases, so it is recommended to purchase the Fast Pass at Monserrate (additional cost).

At the scheduled time, we will depart for the town of Zipaquirá, located 49 km north of Bogotá, where the must-see Salt Cathedral is situated. During the journey, you will have the chance to enjoy the landscapes of the Bogotá Savanna. The Cathedral is considered one of the most outstanding architectural and artistic achievements in Colombia, built inside a mine 180 meters underground. Inside, it features a Stations of the Cross, Dome, Choir, and Narthex Complex. Its significance lies in its heritage, cultural, and religious value. Additionally, it is regarded as the first tourist wonder of Colombia and was a candidate for one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. We will have time to enjoy a delicious typical lunch. Afterward, we will continue to the town of Villa de Leyva, where we will rest in this colonial village adorned with cobblestone streets and historic houses. Overnight stay.

At the agreed-upon time, we will begin the tour with the guide to explore the charming colonial town. Its cobblestone streets and historic houses make it stand out for having the largest Plaza Mayor in Colombia, one of the most impressive in South America, covering an area of 14,000 square meters. Afterward, we will head to Ráquira, a picturesque artisan town famous for its ceramics and handmade crafts. We will then continue by vehicle to Barichara, where we will spend the night in what is considered the most beautiful town in Colombia. Accommodation.

At the scheduled time, we will enjoy a traditional tour of Barichara, starting in Guane, a picturesque village famous for its cobblestone streets, fossils, and mummies, which seems frozen in time. Its fascinating history, full of mysteries, will surprise you. Upon arriving in Barichara, we will head to the most impressive viewpoint in the area, "El Salto del Mico." From there, we will take a Tuc-Tuc ride through the cobblestone streets, which have witnessed countless stories of Colombia's most beautiful town. You will have the opportunity to take photos at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and at the most photogenic corners of the town. The rest of the day will be free to enjoy the unique atmosphere of Barichara. Overnight accommodation.

Pick-up at the hotel and transfer to Palogrande International Airport to take the flight to Medellín. Upon arrival at José María Córdova International Airport, transfer to the hotel. Overnight accommodation.

At the scheduled time, we will begin our journey to Comuna 13, also known as San Javier, a place that for years was considered one of the most dangerous in the world. Today, it amazes with its story of resilience and social transformation, driven by art and innovation. During the trip, we will board the country's most advanced public transportation system, taking the iconic Cable Metro. Upon arrival in Comuna 13, we will walk through its main streets with a local guide, who will tell us the history of the area while we admire the vibrant graffiti and make use of the electric escalators. We will also have the chance to taste a delicious typical snack from the region. Next, we will continue exploring the main attractions of Medellín, known as the 'City of Eternal Spring.' We will visit Pueblito Paisa, a charming replica of a traditional Antioquian village, famous for its crafts, gastronomy, and architecture. Afterward, we will head to the Parque de los Pies Descalzos, a beautiful outdoor space perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. From there, we will take a short walk to La Alpujarra, the city’s administrative and government center. Then, we will head to Parque Berrio, in the heart of the city, to reach the famous Plaza de las Esculturas by Fernando Botero, an iconic site where the master's sculptures have become symbols of Medellín. Finally, we will return to the hotel for overnight accommodation.

DAY 8 • MEDELLÍN

At the specified time, we will head towards the iconic Piedra del Peñol, located 75 km from Medellín. This impressive rock formation rises 220 meters above a reservoir that plays a significant role in the country’s electricity generation. Afterward, we will board a traditional boat to enjoy the views of the reservoir and learn more about its history. Next, we will arrive at a local restaurant to enjoy a typical lunch and continue our visit to the picturesque town of Guatapé, famous for the colorful bas-reliefs that decorate its houses and the well-known Plaza de los Zócalos. Return to Medellín. Overnight stay.

Note: Those who wish can climb the more than 702 steps leading to the top of the Piedra del Peñol, where they can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the municipalities of Guatapé and El Peñol. (Price not included).

In Montenegro, in addition to its colonial charm, it is famous for being home to the National Coffee Park, a theme park that blends fun with coffee culture. At the scheduled time, departure to the Cocora Valley, located in the Quindío department, home of the Quindío Wax Palm, the national tree of Colombia, within the Los Nevados National Natural Park. This valley is one of the most important tourist destinations in the region, along with the picturesque town of Salento. The tour begins with a welcome cocktail, followed by a walk through the impressive palm forest, where you can appreciate the richness of the biodiversity, including the majestic Wax Palm and, if you're lucky, spot the majestic Andean Condor. Next, we will visit an ancient indigenous site and participate in a conservation activity, planting palm seedlings with the help of a local guide. Finally, we will explore the charming town of Salento, wandering through its colonial streets, visiting its craft workshops, and enjoying the views from the Cocora viewpoint before returning. In the morning, departure to the charming Coffee Farm, where you’ll experience a unique journey that will connect you with the essence of coffee. In this magical place, you’ll discover how coffee comes to life, from planting to the depulping process, and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of specialty coffee, guided by a local expert. Experience roasting beans over a traditional wood fire while enjoying the beautiful natural viewpoints that offer spectacular views. Additionally, you’ll savor a cup of high-quality coffee while learning about the innovative drying and processing methods of the beans. Afterwards, transfer to the Pereira or Armenia airport to catch your flight to Cartagena. Upon arrival in the city, you’ll be picked up at Rafael Núñez International Airport and transferred to the hotel.

At the scheduled time, we will begin with a panoramic tour of the bay of Cartagena, famous for its beautiful beaches and vibrant commercial atmosphere. Then, we will head to the charming neighborhood of Manga, where the fusion of Republican-era architecture with modern skyscrapers creates an impressive contrast. Next, we will visit the imposing Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, a fortress built in the 17th century by Spanish colonizers to defend against pirates and later, English attacks. To conclude, we will take a brief walk through the historic center, where we can admire its colonial buildings and stroll through its streets and squares full of history. Accommodation.

DAY 15 • CARTAGENA

At 7:45 a.m., we will board a fast boat for approximately 45 minutes to reach Isla San Pedro de Majagua, a hotel with one of the most privileged locations in the Rosario Islands. It features a private beach and services such as a spa, snorkeling, and scuba diving. During the journey, you will have the opportunity to enjoy views of Cartagena Bay. Upon arrival at the island, you will be welcomed with a cocktail and given a tour of the facilities. Throughout the day, you can relax at two different beach areas and enjoy a typical lunch. The return to Cartagena Bay will be around 3:30 p.m. Accommodation.

Note: If you wish to visit the San Martín de Pajarales Aquarium, the hotel boats have scheduled departure and return times for your visit. This is optional, and payment is made directly at the destination. The aquarium is closed on Mondays and on Tuesdays when Monday is a holiday in Colombia. An additional fee is charged for a guided tour.

At the designated time, departure to explore the best of the island with the complete City Tour, accompanied by a guide, offering the unique opportunity to visit various tourist sites on the island. Embark on an exciting boat ride to the beautiful nearby cays: Haynes Cay, Rose Cay (Aquarium), and Johnny Cay. Upon reaching Haynes Cay, you'll cross the new floating bridge that will take you to Rose Cay, a marine paradise where you can explore the crystal-clear waters and enjoy the abundant marine life. After this experience, you'll return to enjoy a delicious lunch, choosing between grouper or snapper (subject to availability), or grilled chicken accompanied by coconut rice, plantain, or breadfruit. Then, your adventure continues to Johnny Cay, an island famous for its white sand beaches surrounded by lush palms that provide refreshing shade. Its shores are perfect for strolling while discovering exotic corals and crystal-clear water holes. Additionally, you'll have the chance to observe the majestic iguanas that inhabit this stunning natural park. Accommodation.

ITINERARY AND VISITS
